Paper Marbling & Book Making * Saturday, September 23, 2017 *
Marbling is the centuries old art of creating colorful patterns by floating pigments on a pan of water and then transferring this pattern to a surface, such as paper or fabric. In the morning you’ll create beautiful patterns on a variety of papers that you can use for book and card making, calligraphy, framing and more. In the afternoon, we'll make some simple book structures that will show off the beautiful papers you've created. Students will leave class with approximately 20 sheets of marbled paper. Please bring an apron and brown bag lunch. Space is limited to 4 students.
